Stupid Honda!!!! Stupid fuel injection!!!! Went riding on Saturday and went off a small high speed double before a big triple and after a took off over the double the front end was low, so I gave it a crack of the throttle to bring it back up and all the bike did was bog so I wacked the throttle again and bog, at that point it was too late the front end was on the ground and I was stepping over the bars. I have no idea what the deal was. After I knew my arms weren’t broken I gived up the bike and fired back up and ran fine. I haven’t tried to ride it again yet because my elbow blew up like a balloon and I couldn’t move it over the weekend.
I blame the fuel injection and all the crap electronic on bikes now a days. Crazy jumps on tracks and unreliable bikes. And yes I did the bottom end on this bike and it had nothing to do with this.

Sounds like you should get a service honda 500 and go back to the old school.

It sounds like a good idea. This bike needs to be sold/ traded to someone that never will leave the ground.

Just an FYI...this seems to happen to a lot of the 09+ Honda 450s. Greg Davis had his shut off in mid-air while riding dunes out in Michigan and got pile driven into the ground upon landing. My friend Derek has been on the ground/over the bars countless times when his randomly bogged or stalled out. Bottom line...I'd get rid of the thing if you value your life.

Actually I would bet a weeks pay that my bikes tires are on the ground less than yours. Now your thinking "yeah right" but think about it my bike is sitting on the stand with both tires off the ground 99% of the time.

Interesting Jesses. I talked to Pj and he had heard about it a few times also. Yeah I went riding yesterday I rode around like I had training wheels on I didn’t dare hit a jump. I have no reason to trust this bike.

I guess the big question now since its about time for a new bike is. Do i jump ship or stay with Honda. im not going to lie pretty paranoid with all the electronics on theses bikes now.

I was looking online the other night. New YZ250 two strokes are only like $6998 retail...and a new CRF450 is $8099...I'm just saying...

Man that is a stupid amount of money.
I love motocross and all but on the other hand I want to see the industry burn.
I go out and have to spend 9000 for bike that works ok and I’m lucky if it doesn’t die mid air on me. The economy sucks and I’m saving money so i go out and buy a set of middle of the road set of gear for 160 bucks, pants and jersey and the pants that the buckle comes undone right when I sit on the bike ( and they are over sized, I’m not fat, the buckle is cheap and sucks) just saying you have to spend over 200 bucks to get any gear that is somewhat descent. This was MSR stuff so you know. But here we are spending a ton of money on over priced garbage so they can pay for all the high paid riders and people in the industry.
Like the other day i was listen to Jason Ellis on the radio ( Adam will know who I’m talking about) and he’s talking about how he met the owner from Asterisks knee braces and got two pars free. Which to me means they have to jack up there prices more to pay for all free crap they give no nobodies.
I don’t know about you guys but if it meant having no factory teams out there for the prices to come down on bikes id be all for it.

Yeah it's hard to justify the price of motocross these days. Everything is over priced. I think one of the reasons is the switch to 4-strokes. Think of how many more parts there are involved. On the other hand if you keep feeding the monster by buying new bikes every two years the factories arent getting the message that we want more inexpensive bikes. Now is where I should be saying you guys should all be like me and ride old iron, but I know how awesome it is to have a new bike. It just sucks that you have to spend 8K to play... To add insult to injury used MX bikes are worth about as much as used toilet paper....

I think I may buy a used newer bike. Now if you have a ragged out 2009...i'm not sure where to go from there. But I feel your pain Spencer...All my stuff is getting to the end of its life and its going to be hard to replace gear, chest pro, boots and helmet. Never mind the several thousand dollars on a new bike. I'm thinking I'll look around for a decent newer bike for like 5k?
