07-27-2010, 4:45 AM motocross40 Joined on 04-21-2006 SURRY Posts 1,187 Jody Bostrom? Well bitches, I finally did my track day. It was awesome as you can well imagine. I would definitely recommend everyone try it. Not sure of the top speed (they have you tape over your speedometer) Talk around the garage was around 140. Not sure if it's true but what I can tell you is its fast enough where you (I) thought "I don’t even want to know what would happen if there was a mechanical failure" I can say it's 5th gear rung out! I did have the back end step out twice in the last session. Got to drag a knee which was a lot louder than I had ever imagined. (I also got my peg to drag) oh and there are NO chicken strips on the edge of the tire, just little balled up pieces of rubber. SO get your bike taped up and ready to go (or buy/borrow one) because they have one more in the fall. I started out in C (beginner) group but got bumped up to B after the first session. Tell you what there are two more track days this year. You can come up and follow me around the track and see it first hand...    Report

Or better yet you can go buy one.  I know you still have room in the budget to afford one. Fishtails was $265.00. There is a "Tonys track day" comming up on the 9th that is $225.00. I'll have to talk to PeeJ about keeping an eye out for a cheap track bike for me.    Report
